Liberty 100 - a Colt Single Action Army Revolver was engraved in 1983 to commemmorate the Statue of Liberty. The timing was no accident and the Collector who commissioned the work managed to aquire genuine Statue of Liberty materials from Goldline, the company that was refurbishing the Statue at the time. Statue copper, steel and wood were incorporated into the gun, case and accessories.
This gun was auctioned for $97,750 at the April/May 2005 Rock Island Auction. Listing is 8th from bottom of page.
