The economy of Hartford and therefore the well being of its inhabitants depended on Sam Colt and his Factory to creat jobs, income and security. The Factory did much more than that however - Sam Colt brought culture, innovation and prestige to Hartford as he helped shape the future of our Nation by making the best guns in the world.
